창세기 19 : 19 - 소돔과 고모라가 멸망됨

이제 보소서, 주의 종이 주의 눈앞에서 은혜를 입었고 또 주께서 주의 긍휼을 내게 넘치게 하사 내 생명을 구원하심으로 긍휼을 베푸셨나이다. 내가 산으로 도피할 수 없나이다. 어떤 재앙이 나를 덮쳐 내가 죽을까 염려하나이다.

 

Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sigth, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:
