창세기 21 : 16 - 하갈과 이스마엘이 쫓겨남

화살이 미치는 거리만큼 떨어진 곳에 가서 그를 마주보며 앉았으니 이는 그녀가 이르기를, 아이가 죽는 것을 내가 차마 보지 못하겠다, 하였기 때문이더라. 그녀가 그를 마주보며 앉아서 목소리를 높여 우니

 

And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept.
