Shall not their cattle and their substance and every beast of theirs be ours? only let us consent unto them, and they will dwell with us. 창세기 34 : 5 - 디나 사건 세겜이 자기 딸 디나를 더렵혔다는 것을 야곱이 들었으나 이제 자기 아들들이 들에서 자기의 가축과 함께 있으므로 그들이 올 때까지 야곱이 잠잠하였더라. And Jacob heard that he had defiled Dinah his daughter: now his sons were with his cattle in the field: and Jacob held his peace until they were come. 창세기 33 : 17 - 야곱이 에서를 만남 야곱이 이동하여 숙곳에 이르러 자기를 위해 집을 짓고 자기 가축을 위해 우리를 지었으므로 그곳의 이름을 숙곳이라 하느니라. And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built him an house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the place is called Succoth. 창세기 33 : 14 - 야곱이 에서를 만남 원하건대 내 주는 주의 종보다 앞서 가소서. 나는 내 앞에 가는 가축들과 아이들이 견딜 수 있는대로 부드럽게 인도하여 마침내 세일로 가서 내 주께 가리이다, 하매 Let my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servant: and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goeth before me and the children be able to endure, until I come unto my lord unto Seir. 창세기 31 : 43 - 야곱과 라반의 언약 라반이 야곱에게 응답하여 이르되, 이 딸들은 내 딸들이요, 이 아이들은 내 아이들이요, 이 가축들은 내 가축들이요, 네가 보는 모든 것은 내 것이니라. 이 날 내가 이 내 딸들이나 그들이 낳은 아이들에게 무슨 일을 할 수 있으랴? And Laban answered and said unto Jacob, These daughters are my daughters, and these children are my children, and these cattle are my cattle, and all that thou seest is mine: and what can I do this day unto these my daughters, or unto their children which they have born? 창세기 31 : 41 - 라반이 야곱을 추격함 내가 외삼촌의 집에서 이와 같이 이십 년을 지냈으니 곧 외삼촌의 두 딸을 위하여 십사 년 동안 또 외삼촌의 가축을 위하여 육 년 동안 외삼촌을 섬겼거니와 외삼촌께서 내 품값을 열 번이나 바꾸셨나이다. Thus have I been twenty yeares in thy house; I served thee fourteen years for thy two daughters, and six years for thy cattle: and thou hast changed my wages ten times. 창세기 31 : 18 - 야곱이 라반을 피해 도망함 자기가 얻은 모든 가축과 모든 재물 곧 자기가 밧단아람에서 얻은 가축을 이끌고 가나안 땅에 있는 자기 아버지 이삭에게 가고자 하였더라.
