창세기 35 : 4 - 야곱이 벧엘로 돌아감 그들이 자기들의 손에 있던 모든 이방 신과 자기들의 귀에 있던 모든 귀고리를 야곱에게 주니 야곱이 그것들을 세겜 옆의 상수리나무 밑에 숨겼더라. And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem.
창세기 24 : 47 - 이삭의 신부 내가 그녀에게 물어 이르기를, 너는 누구의 딸이냐? 한즉 그녀가 이르되, 밀가가 나홀에게 낳은 아들 곧 나홀의 아들인 브두엘의 딸이니이다, 하기에 내가 귀고리를 그녀의 얼굴에 끼워 주며 팔찌를 그녀의 손에 끼워 주고 And I asked her, and said, Whose daughter art thou? And she said, The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor's son, whom Milcah bare unto him: and I put the earring upon her face, and the bracelets upon her hands.

And it came to pass, when he saw the earring and bracelets upon his sister's hands, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, Thus spake the man unto me; that he came unto the man; and, behold, he stood by the camels at the well.
