창세기 32 : 16 - 에서가 야곱을 치려고 옴 그가 그것들을 각각 떼로 나누어 자기 종들의 손에 넘겨주며 자기 종들에게 이르되, 나보다 앞서 건너가고 떼와 떼 사이에 거리를 두라, 하고 And he delivered them into the hand of his servants, every drove by themselves; and said unto his servants, Pass over before me, and put a space betwixt drove and drove.
창세기 21 : 16 - 하갈과 이스마엘이 쫓겨남 화살이 미치는 거리만큼 떨어진 곳에 가서 그를 마주보며 앉았으니 이는 그녀가 이르기를, 아이가 죽는 것을 내가 차마 보지 못하겠다, 하였기 때문이더라. 그녀가 그를 마주보며 앉아서 목소리를 높여 우니 And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.
