And she put her widow's garments off from her, and covered her with a vail, and wrapped herself, and sat in an open place, which is by the way to Timnath; for she saw that Shelah was grown, and she was not given unto him to wife. 창세기 38 : 11 - 유다와 다말 이에 유다가 자기 며느리 다말에게 이르되, 내 아들 셀라가 장성할 때까지 네 아버지 집에서 과부로 지내라, 하니 이는 그가 말하기를, 혹시 그도 자기 형들같이 죽을까 염려하노라, 하였기 때문이더라. 다말이 가서 자기 아버지 집에 거하니라. Then said Judah to Tamar his daughter in law, Remain a widow at thy father's house, till Shelah my son be grown: for he said, Lest peradventure he die also, as his brethren did.
