창세기 24 : 2 - 이삭의 신부 아브라함이 자기 집에서 가장 나이 많은 종 곧 자기의 모든 소유를 관리하던 종에게 이르되, 원하건대 네 손을 내 넓적다리 밑에 넣으라. And Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over all that he had, Put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh:
창세기 21 : 25 - 아브라함과 아비멜렉의 언약 아비멜렉의 종들이 폭력으로 빼앗은 우물로 인하여 아브라함이 아비멜렉을 책망하매 And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water, which Abimelech' servants had violently taken away.
창세기 20 : 8 - 아브라함과 아비멜렉 그러므로 아비멜렉이 아침에 일찍 일어나 자기의 모든 종을 불러 그들의 귀에 이 모든 일을 말하매 그 사람들이 심히 두려워하더라. Therefore Abimelech rose early in the morning, and called all his servants, and told all these things in their ears: an the men were sore afraid.
창세기 19 : 19 - 소돔과 고모라가 멸망됨 이제 보소서, 주의 종이 주의 눈앞에서 은혜를 입었고 또 주께서 주의 긍휼을 내게 넘치게 하사 내 생명을 구원하심으로 긍휼을 베푸셨나이다. 내가 산으로 도피할 수 없나이다. 어떤 재앙이 나를 덮쳐 내가 죽을까 염려하나이다. Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sigth, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:
창세기 19 : 2 - 소돔의 사악함 이르되, 이제 보소서, 내 주(主)들이여, 원하건대 돌이켜 당신들의 종의 집으로 드어와 온밤을 묵고 발을 씻고 일찍 일어나 당신들의 길을 가소서, 하니 그들이 이르되, 아니라. 우리가 거리에서 온 밤을 지내리라, 하니라. And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.
창세기 18 : 5 - 약속의 아들 내가 빵 한 조각을 가져오리니 당신들은 마음을 편안하게 한 뒤에 지나가소서. 이런 까닭에 당신들이 당신들의 종에게 오셨나이다, 하매 그들이 이르되, 네가 말한 대로 그리하라, 하니라. And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.
창세기 18 : 3 - 약속의 아들 이르되, 내 주여, 이제 내가 주의 눈앞에서 호의를 입었으면 원하건대 주의 종을 떠나 지나가지 마시고 And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:
창세기 14 : 15 - 롯이 포로가 되었다가 구출됨 그들을 대적하려고 밤에 직접 자기와 자기 종들을 나누어 그들을 치고 다마스쿠스 왼쪽에 있는 호바까지 그들을 쫓아가서 And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.
