So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. 창세기 11 : 7 - 바벨 탑에서의 반역 자, 우리가 내려가서 거기서 그들의 언어를 혼잡하게 하여 그들이 서로의 말을 알아듣지 못하게 하자, 하시고 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand on another's speech. 창세기 11 : 6 - 바벨 탑에서의 반역 주께서 이르시되, 보라, 백성이 하나요, 또 그들이 다 한 언어를 가지고 있으므로 이 일을 하기 시작하니 이제 그들이 하려고 상상한 어떤 일도 막지 못하리라. And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. 창세기 11 : 5 - 바벨 탑에서의 반역 주께서 사람들의 자녀들이 세우는 도시와 탑을 보려고 내려오시니라. And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. 창세기 11 : 4 - 바벨 탑에서의 반역 또 이르되, 자, 우리가 우리를 위하여 도시와 탑을 세우고 탑의 꼭대기를 하늘에까지 닿게 하며 우리가 우리를 위하여 이름을 내고 이로써 온 지면에 널리 흩어짐을 면하자, 하더라. And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. 창세기 11 : 3 - 바벨 탑에서의 반역 그들이 서로 이르되, 자, 우리가 벽돌을 만들어 견고히 굽자, 하고는 돌 대신 벽돌을 취하고 회반죽 대신 진흙을 취하며 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly, And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. 창세기 11 : 2 - 바벨 탑에서의 반역 그들이 동쪽에서부터 이동하다가 시날 땅에 있는 평야를 만나 거기 거하니라. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. 창세기 11 : 1 - 바벨 탑에서의 반역 온 땅의 언어가 하나요 말이 하나였더라.
