And when her days to be delivered were fullfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb. 창세기 25 : 23 - 이삭의 세대들 주께서 그녀에게 이르시되, 두 민족이 네 태 속에 있노라. 두 종류의 백성이 네 배 속에서부터 나누어지리라. 한 백성이 다른 백성보다 강하겠고 형이 동생을 섬기리라, 하시니라. And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger. 창세기 25 : 22 - 이삭의 세대들 아이들이 그녀의 태 속에서 함께 싸우므로 그녀가 이르되, 그렇다면 왜 나는 이러할까? 하고 가서 주께 여쭈었더니 And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? and she went to inquire of the LORD. 창세기 25 : 21 - 이삭의 세대들 이삭이 자기 아내가 수태하지 못하므로 그녀를 위하여 주께 간구하매 주께서 그의 간구를 들으셨으므로 그의 아내 리브가가 수태하였더라. And Issac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived. 창세기 25 : 20 - 이삭의 세대들 이삭은 사십 세에 리브가를 아내로 취하였는데 그녀는 밧단아람의 시리아 사람 브두엘의 딸이요, 시리아 사람 라반의 누이더라.
