That which was torn of beasts I brought not unto thee; I bare the loss of it; of my hand didst thou require it, whether stolen by day, or stolen by night. 창세기 31 : 38 - 라반이 야곱을 추격함 내가 이 이십 년을 외삼촌과 함께하였거니와 외삼촌의 암양이나 암염소들이 낙태하지 아니하였고 또 외삼촌의 양 떼의 숫양들을 내가 먹지 아니하였으며 This twenty years have I been with thee; thy ewes and thy she goats have not cast their young. and the rams of thy flock have I not eaten. 창세기 31 : 37 - 라반이 야곱을 추격함 외삼촌께서 내 모든 물건을 뒤지셨으나 외삼촌의 모든 집안 물건 중에서 무엇을 찾았나이까? 여기 나의 형제들과 외삼촌의 형제들 앞에 그것을 세워 두고 이로써 그들이 우리 둘 사이에 판단하게 하소서. Whereas thou hast searched all my stuff, what hast thou found of all thy household stuff? set it here before my breathren and thy brethren, that they may judge betwixt us both. 창세기 31 : 36 - 라반이 야곱을 추격함 야곱이 노하여 라반을 나무라며 라반에게 응답하여 이르되, 내 범법이 무엇이니이까? 내 죄가 무엇이기에 외삼촌께서 이같이 분개하여 내 뒤를 따라오셨나이까? And Jacob was wroth, and chode with Laban: and Jacob answered and said to Laban, What is my trespass? what is my sin, that thou hast so hotly pursued after me? 창세기 31 : 35 - 라반이 야곱을 추격함 그녀가 자기 아버지에게 이르되, 내게 여인들의 관례가 임하여 내가 내 주 앞에서 일어설 수 없사오니 내 주는 불쾌히 여기지 마소서, 하니라. 그가 뒤졌으나 형상들을 찾지 못하니라. And she said to her father, Let it not displease my lord that I cannot rise up before thee; for the custom of women is upon me. And he searched, but found not the images. 창세기 31 : 34 - 라반이 야곱을 추격함 이제 라헬이 그 형상들을 가져다가 낙타의 안장 속에 넣고 그것들 위에 앉으니라. 라반이 장막을 모두 뒤졌으나 그것들을 발견하지 못하매 Now Rachel had taken the images, and put them in the camel's furniture, and sat upon them. And Laban searched all the tent, but found them not. 창세기 31 : 33 - 라반이 야곱을 추격함 라반이 야곱의 장막에 들어가고 레아의 장막에 들어가며 두 여종의 장막에 들어갔으나 그것들을 찾지 못하고 이에 레아의 장막에서 나와 라헬의 장막에 들어가니라. And Laban went into Jacob's tent, and into Leah's tent, and into the two maidservants' tents; but he found them not. Then went he out of Leah's tent, and entered into Rachel's tent. 창세기 31 : 32 - 라반이 야곱을 추격함 외삼촌의 신들을 누구에게서 찾든지 그는 살지 못하리이다. 외삼촌은 우리 형제들 앞에서 외삼촌의 것이 내게 있는지 분별하시어 그것을 외삼촌에게로 가져가소서, 하니 야곱은 라헬이 그것들을 도둑질한 줄을 알지 못하였더라. With whomsoever thou findest thy gods, let him not live; before our brethren discern thou what is thine with me, and take it to thee.
